C-130J Hercules — Eric O. Peck aviation career

    The Work

I've spent my career in environments where the cost of confusion is high.

I started in the Royal Australian Air Force as a C-130J captain, including two combat tours in the Middle East. That taught me disciplined decision-making under pressure: observe, orient, decide, act.

I took that into Deloitte, and later into Swoop Aero, where I led the team to build an autonomous logistics company across five continents. That journey taught me what it really takes to scale something hard: regulatory complexity, product reality, operating cadence, capital discipline, and trust. It also taught me where companies break when decision-making slows and the learning loop weakens.

Today I'm venture building from Dubai. I care about decision velocity, operating systems, and building companies that can actually execute.

This site is where I write about that.
